Workshop Scheduled: The Integrated Pest
management for the Landscape Professional Workshop is scheduled for May 7 at the
Wes Watkins Center for International Trade Development in Stillwater. The

employees, nursery and garden center personnel, arborists, and landscape
architects. Mike Schnelle, Extension Horticulturist, is chairing this workshop,
which will focus on outdoor training on integrated pest management related
issues.
Hayes Leaving OSU: Dr. Kevin Hayes has resigned as Director, Agricultural Communications Services, to take advantage of a new two-year assignment in Washington, D.C., effective May 1. His new employment will be with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) where he will provide leadership in engaging higher education institutions with USAID for expert exchanges on various development topics. Mary Anne Gularte will serve as the Interim Director of ACS effective April 26.
Fee Waiver And Study Leave Forms: Fee
waiver and study leave forms for the 2002 Summer Semester should be submitted to
245 Ag Hall and must be received five business days prior to the first day of
class. The green Study and Education Form should accompany the fee waiver and be
routed to your District Director or Department Head, and then forwarded to 245
Ag Hall for processing. If you miss the deadline, the fee waiver will not be
honored, no exceptions. Both the Fee Waiver and Study and Education Forms are
kept in Ag Mailing Services and you can request them by calling Celia Madden at
405-744-5823. As a reminder, Distance Education Courses do have additional fees
and in-service training does not require a fee waiver form. If you have any
questions, contact your County Extension Director as they received updated
information regarding the policy for Fee Waiver and Study leave Forms in their
February CED training.
Also
remember, if your class is cancelled, you decide to drop your class, or if you
change your study and education form, call 405-744-6550 so that your records can
be updated. Also, check your Bursar invoice to make sure you received the fee
waiver. You should contact the Fee
Adjustment Office at 405-744-6866 if you have questions pertaining to your fee
waiver and bursar account.
Scholarship Applications Due Soon: The
guidelines and application form for the William F. Taggert Scholarship are
available on the Intranet at http://intranet.okstate.edu/scholarship/.
The Scholarship application can be downloaded into a Microsoft version.
If you do not have access to these items through the Internet, please
call Linda Turner at 405-744-6550 and she will send you a copy of both.
Applications are due in 245 Ag Hall on or before June
7, for both summer and fall semesters.
Separate applications must be submitted for each semester.
Applicants should forward completed applications to
their District Director for approval. The

the selection committee.
