CURRENT EVENTS

Note From D. C. Coston, Interim Associate Director: I am pleased to again be serving as Interim Associate Director for the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. I continue to be deeply impressed by the impacts that your efforts have had in improving the lives and well-being of our fellow citizens. Because of these successes, there are great expectations of what we can do in coming days. They truly believe in us. You already understand the challenging environment, particularly funding, in which we operate today. We will be developing strategies for getting additional support. For these efforts to be successful, all of us must continuously showcase what we are accomplishing. During the coming weeks and months, I ask that you take every opportunity, both in your professional and personal lives, to talk positively about what you and your colleagues throughout DASNR are accomplishing and how we are vital to a brighter future for Oklahoma. This will create an atmosphere in which leaders will feel the support from their constituents to make the decisions that will increase funding. With additional support, you will be able to continue to innovate and to accomplish those things that will continue to make differences for our neighbors and collectively for Oklahoma.
