Current Events

 Native American Horticulture Workshop Slated: Individuals who are interested in Native American horticulture will have the opportunity to learn more at an educational conference April 8 at the Payne County Expo Center in Stillwater. The workshop is geared toward a wide variety of gardening enthusiasts. Keynote speaker will be Christine Price-Abelow, lead horticulturist for the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. Registration is $75 before March 29 and $100 after that date. Extension Educators and Master Gardeners may register for $50 before March 29. Announcements

Congratulations to: Carol Laverty, Harper County Extension Educator and CED, on the birth of her granddaughter. Emery Jean Day was born March 10, weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 19 inches long. Proud parents are Rebecca and Phillip Day.

AWARDS

Lancaster Honored: Sarah Lancaster, Assistant Professor, Plant and Soil Sciences, was selected as Outstanding Faculty Member for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources by the men and women of the fraternity and sorority community. Sarah will be recognized at the Order of Omega Greek Awards Dessert Reception March 31 in the Student Union Ballroom.
