Rural Economic Outlook Conference Slated at OSU: Oklahoma State University’s Department of Agricultural Economics will host its annual Rural Economic Outlook Conference Nov. 4 at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center on the OSU campus. This conference will focus on trends and expectations regarding the rural economy and agriculture and emphasize what key considerations agricultural lenders, rural leaders, and others should be thinking about for the coming year. Registration for the conference will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday., Nov. 3 at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Stillwater with an informal reception at 5:00 pm. The conference will begin Friday, Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m. at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center and end at 4:00 p.m. For more information regarding the conference, contact the Department of Agricultural Economics at OSU at 405-744-6161, or visit http://www.agecon.okstate.edu/.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Waste Management DVDs Available: A collection of solid waste management media resources are now available for loan. More than 40 DVD, CD-ROM and audio CD titles have been assembled to help educators, students and communities reduce waste and improve environmental stewardship. The list of titles may be sorted by topic, grade level, run time and release date; many items are suitable for adults. To download an application and access the media list, visit http://agecon.okstate.edu/wastenew/library.asp?category=media.

Congratulations to: Trinity Brown, Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences, and CED, Pawnee County, and her husband, Jerod, on the birth of their daughter. Kensley Renea Brown was born Sept. 17, weighed 8 pounds, 7 ½ ounces, and was 21 inches long. Kensley is welcomed home by older sisters Taelor and Malee.
