New Extension Educators’ Orientation: Extension Educators with one to six months experience are invited to attend the New Extension Educators’ Orientation slated June 6-8 in Stillwater. Part of the orientation will include veteran Extension Educators providing information regarding resources that are provided at the county and district levels. On June 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Oklahoma Botanical Garden and Arboretum, Extension Educators will be able to set up displays that highlight Extension programs. The deadline to sign up for a display is May 22. For more information, contact Joyce Martin, Director, Staff and Program Development, at 405-744-7969.

Fee Waivers for Summer Semester Due May 26:  Fee waivers for the 2006 summer semester should be submitted no later than May 26, five working days prior to the first day of class on June 5, to 245 Ag Hall. The Study and Education Form should accompany the fee waiver and must be signed by your County Extension Director, District Extension Director, Department Head, and/or appropriate Unit Administrator, and then forwarded to 245 Ag Hall for processing. Please allow plenty of time to get these forms in by the deadline.  If you miss the deadline, the fee waiver WILL NOT be honored, no exceptions. No letters of explanation will be accepted. If you are a full time faculty or staff member taking classes, you may request a partial fee waiver. The Faculty/Staff Fee Waiver Form has recently been changed.  The revised form is available for download from the Office of the Registrar’s website, http://www.okstate.edu/registrar/FormsOnline/FormsOnline.htm. Scroll down to Faculty/Staff Fee Waiver Form.

Please use your social security number on this form, NOT your campus-wide identification number. You can also pick up a blank form from the Office of the Registrar, 322 Student Union. If you have a supply of the old forms, please discard them.

NOTE:  The Educational Leave Requests are now available on-line at the Staff Development intranet site located at http://intranet.okstate.edu/staff_development.

Also, as a reminder – Distance Education Courses do have additional fees and in-service training does not require a fee waiver form. If you have questions, please contact your immediate supervisor as they have updated information regarding the policy on Fee Waiver and Study and Education Request Forms.

If your class is cancelled, you decide to drop your class, or if you change your study and education form, call 405-744-6550 so that your records can be updated. Also, check your Bursar invoice to make sure you received the fee waiver. You should contact the Fee Adjustment Office at 405-744-6866 if you have questions.
