Great Source of Information: The Journal of Extension (JOE) is a
wonderful source of information. It is the official refereed
journal of the U.S. Cooperative Extension System, and can be
found on the Web at www.joe.org.
JOE expands and updates the research and knowledge base for
Extension professionals and other adult educators to improve
their effectiveness. In addition, JOE serves as a forum for
emerging and contemporary issues affecting Extension education.
JOE is available free of charge. You may add your name to the
subscribers list to receive notification of each new issue
as it becomes available. To join the subscribers list, send
an email message to joelist-on@joe.org
from the account you wish to subscribe. In the April issue there
is an interesting article titled A Framework for
Introducing Program Evaluation to Extension Faculty and
Staff. This article shares ideas about ways to demonstrate
that Extension programs are making an impact on the populations
served.
Congratulations: Donna Stangl, Extension Educator, FCS, Canadian
County, recently passed her registered dietitian exam. She
received a provisional license until complete paperwork is
finalized in August. Both personally and professionally, this is
a wonderful accomplishment. OCES has but a few people in the
field with this qualification.

leave forms for the 2002 Summer Semester should be submitted to
