Training Schedule Finalized for Oklahoma Community Listening Sessions: By now, you have received information regarding the upcoming Oklahoma Community Listening Sessions which will be held in every county in Oklahoma beginning in September and running through the first half of December. I appreciate your support and involvement in these listening sessions. In order to prepare you for the listening sessions, orientation/facilitator training sessions have been scheduled in each of the four districts, and dates and locations are listed below. The orientation session will begin at 10 a.m. to acquaint you with the purpose for these sessions, while the facilitator training will be held in the afternoon to set guidelines and establish ground rules for how the listening sessions will be conducted. Both sessions would be beneficial to you as an Extension professional. If you have a conflict with the date scheduled for your district, please select one of the other district sessions and make plans to attend.

The listening sessions will require a large number of facilitators, and while we are soliciting participants from a mix of community leaders and citizens, we will need your help! If you would like to serve as a facilitator, please contact your District Director today. I would like to thank you in advance for your commitment and support of this endeavor. If you have questions, please contact your District Extension Director.

Fee Waivers Due: Fee waivers for the 2002 Fall Semester must be submitted by August 9, five working days prior to the first day of class on August 19, to 245 Ag Hall. The green Study and Education Form should accompany the fee waiver and be signed by your County Extension Director, District Extension Director, Department Head, and/or appropriate Unit Administrator. Allow plenty of time to get these forms in by the deadline. PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW POLICY: if you miss the deadline, the fee waiver WILL NOT be honored, no exceptions. No letters of explanation will be accepted. The Fee Waiver and Study and Education Forms are kept in Ag Mailing Services, and you can request them by calling 405-744-5823.
Also, as a reminder – Distance Education Courses have additional fees and in-service training does not require a fee waiver form. If you have questions, contact your County Extension Director as they have updated information regarding the policy on Fee Waiver and Study and Education Request Forms.
If your class is cancelled, you decide to drop your class, or if you change your study and education form, call 405-744-6550 so that your records can be updated. Be sure to check your Bursar invoice to make sure you received the fee waiver. You should contact the Fee Adjustment Office at 405-744-6866 if you have questions.
