Still Time to Apply for OALP’s Class XV: Anyone interested in applying for the Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Program’s Class XV has until May 18. OALP is open to men and women between the ages of 25 and 45 who are engaged in production agriculture or a related agricultural business and are looking for an opportunity to develop and enhance their leadership skills. OALP is an intensive two-year program consisting of 11 three-day seminars and study tours within Oklahoma, a week-long seminar to Washington, D.C., and a two-week international experience at the end of the program. Applications are available online at http://oalp.okstate.edu. Announcements

Roundup Registration Available Online: Roundup registration materials are now available on the State 4-H website at http://oklahoma4h.okstate.edu/events/roundup.htm. Registration and payment are due by June 23. Watch for emails about a couple of upcoming Centra training sessions. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Tracy Beck at 405-744-8891.

Condolences to: Kevin Hackett, Northwest District 4-H Program Specialist, on the death of his brother. Kenneth “Kenny” Hackett passed away April 27. Funeral services took place April 30 with burial at the Blackwell Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Army.  Memorials may be made through Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, OK  74631, to Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary for the Avenue of Flags.

Extension Educators Honored: Sherman Grubb III, Creek County Extension Educator, and Carl Wallace, Cherokee County Extension Educator, received the Honorary FFA Degree at the State FFA Convention that took place recently in Oklahoma City.
